Art Homework
The Art department sets homework every 2 weeks at key stage 3 and every week at key stage 4. Pupils usually have about one week to complete the task. Sometimes pupils may be given longer to complete some research or a mini project.
Pupils are given a homework book and they are expected to bring it to each Art lesson. Pupils are given a set of homework tasks for each project to stick into their book. This is for easy reference to the set tasks.
Pupils must hand in homework on the date it is due in. If pupils do not hand it on time they will be given a chance to hand it in the next day. Failure to do so will result in further action being taken.
The Art department sees homework as a valuable and vital part of national curriculum and GCSE coursework. It is an opportunity for students to develop and extend skills learned in school.
In order to complete homework, pupils will need access to the following equipment and materials: 2b pencil, 4b pencil, rubber, sharpener, glue, collage material, and colour materials e.g. coloured pencils, pastels or paint.
If pupils do not have access to these items, they can use the facilities in the Art room each Friday from 3.10 to 4.10pm.
