History

We believe pupils enjoy learning History at Fairfield. We adapt our schemes
of work to suit both the interests and needs of our pupils. We plan to deliver a range of
learning games to start and end lessons and teach History through a variety of group
and independent tasks.

Key Stage 3
3 lessons a fortnight

Year 7
Egyptians, Romans, Medieval Period.

Year 8
Tudors, Native Americans, Industrial Revolution

Year 9
World War 1, World War 2, Assassination of JFK,
Vietnam Conflict

Key Stage 4
5 lesson a fortnight
GCSE Modern World History or Schools History Project

Facilities
Suite of 4 classrooms, all with interactive whiteboards

Extra-Curricular
KS3 trips to Caernarfon Castle, Speke Hall and
Imperial War Museum. KS4 inculdes a visit to see a play
"History on Trial" and a trip to the Battlefields of World War I
