Describing my home / bedroom
Describing my daily routine
Asking for and giving directions
Talking about holidays and buying souvenirs
Arranging to go out + talking about the cinema
Talking about which clubs I go to
Pupils will also learn how to use the past and future tenses, thus enabling them to start achieving at level 5
Homeworks are set at least once a week, and vocabulary lists are available on the website to assist with completion of any tasks.
Due to the nature of the subject, homeworks are usually short and frequently consist of learning vocabulary, which is absolutely essential if progress is to be made. Other homeworks may be completed in exercise books or in conjunction with worksheets.
Pupils also receive a homework booklet at the beginning of the year and this will be used frequently to set homework tasks.
Pupils receive a copy of the level descriptors, which tell them what skills they must give evidence of in order to attain a certain level, and examples of work at levels 3, 4 and 5 are also available on the government website www.dfes.gov.uk
