Latest Photographs of the amazing production by Lunts Heath Primary Shakespeare Company 'A Midsummer Night’s Dream'

The beginning of our spring term was off to a dramatic start with the Primary Shakespeare Productions of ‘Macbeth’ and ‘Romeo & Juliet’, performed by Year 6 Lunts Heath Pupils, directed by Kate Allerston, Community Arts Officer at Fairfield.
The performances were held in repertory on the evening of 13th January in The Bridge Theatre at Fairfield, with the pupils playing to a completely full house.
 During the autumn term, Kate and the Year 6 at Lunts Heath had been working on the plays, concentrating on the Shakespearian language, story and acting skills, which were initially a challenge, but the children rose to it!
The evening was a huge success, and was attended by parents, teachers, friend and governors, and received very warm comments after the show. The children involved were very excited on the evening, but surpassed everyone’s expectations with fantastic performances by all.
To sum up the feeling of the children afterwards, a comment made by one of the pupils in Macbeth... ‘I Love Shakespeare!!!’ …I’m sure the Bard would be very pleased to hear it!!
Kate Simmons Dance Company
The Kate Simmons Dance Company performed in March, the show 'Allegrodance' with their students. The dance styles ranged from ballet, to jazz, from 'Riverdance' to flamenco. The show was exhilarating and inspirational for all. The performers were so professional and talented, a credit to their school and the company!
