We are delighted to be reporting results that have well exceeded our targets and these results demonstrate that the work undertaken in the last few years has paid dividends and I am confident that Fairfield is able to offer young people of all abilities every opportunity to be the best that they can be. In addition, in a recent survey of our pupils responses from pupils showed that in terms of ‘confidence in learning’ they were well above average compared to other schools and this is also a reflection of the caring community that we are building at Fairfield; a community based on the principle of ‘enjoy learning’.
I would like to pay tribute to all pupils from our last Year 11 and to their teachers. They have all worked incredibly hard to achieve such good results. The bar has been raised for our new Year 11 and we hope that they too can rise to the challenge. Academic success requires a strong partnership between pupil, school and the home; a determination and resilience in undertaking studies and a ‘can do’ attitude that drives us all to believe that we can do better. I hope our results provide all pupils at Fairfield with the inspiration to ‘enjoy learning’.
