Mathematics


Pupils have the opportunity to take part in a variety of activities during lessons which
make learning enjoyable. These include quick activities at the start of lessons, games
and use of ICT. Pupils also have the opportunity to explore mathematics through
puzzles and investigations
.

 

Key Stage 3
6/7 lessons a fortnight

Key Stage 3 modules
Number, Algebra, Shape and Space, Handling
Data, Investigation

Key Stage 4 courses
Modular GCSE, Statistics GCSE, or Entry Level
Mathematics, depending on ability

Facilities
Suite of 7 specialist rooms, 1 room for 15 computers, interactive whiteboards in all rooms

Programs including DLK Maths, Success Maker, Headstart Foundation Mathematics, Year 8 EXP Maths, and we provide access to use of My Maths and Bring on the Maths websites


Extra- Curricular Opportunities
