The Fairfield CharterAt Fairfield High School, we emphasise the importance of school and parents working together in Partnership. We believe that this partnership is essential if each young person is to achieve his/her full potential.
The school is committed to
- Providing a caring, stimulating community
- Developing the personal qualities and talents possessed by our pupils
- Encouraging attitudes and behaviour which develop honest, polite, well-behaved young people who respect themselves, staff and each other, their community and property.
- Developing personal skills and interests by providing a range of extra curricular activities enabling pupils to contribute to community life
- Informing parents regularly about the progress of our pupils
- Setting homework on a regular basis to assist pupil’s learning and raise standards
- Creating opportunities to demonstrate personal responsibility, initiative and citizenship
For our school to achieve maximum success, we require parents to:
- Support the school’s disciplinary procedures by giving full co-operation to all staff within the school
- Ensure their child is on time for school and attends regularly
- Providing the necessary uniform and equipment in line with school regulations (published annually)
- Ensure that the high standards of behaviour demanded by the school are followed at all times (including journeys to and from school)
- Support the school’s Homework policy by checking and signing the Homework Diary each week
- Ensure their child does not behave outside school in a manner which will bring the good name of the school into disrepute
At Fairfield High School we demand that pupils:
- Always abide by the school rules
- Are polite and courteous to all pupils and adults at all times
- Always obey the anti-bullying policy and report any incident of bullying that they become aware of
- Maintain high standards of dress and behaviour both inside and outside the classroom.
- Come prepared for lessons with the necessary equipment
- Come dressed correctly in full school uniform
- Do not behave in a way that will damage the good name of the school AT ANY TIME – both inside and outside school.
- Ensure the environment is kept litter-free, both inside and outside school
